How it works? Well, let me put it this way: it’s complicated. But you know what’s awesome? You don’t have to worry about that, because that’s exactly what we’re there for!
In a nutshell, we built our technology based on a patented Chromakeying process from one of Germany’s most innovative universities, the Bauhaus University in Weimar. An extremely clever combination of hardware – cameras, photographic lights, colour-changing LED panels, a hardcore industrial PC and some added shenanigans – and software (no, don’t ask) make up our proprietory and pretty cool technology. Transparent auto-cropping at never-before seen quality – literally within seconds. No matter how complicated the material. Lace, feathers, fur? No problem.
But of course that’s not where the story ends. Technology is developing at such a rapid pace that we build our Fotomates to be updatable and upgradable. We continue to push the envelope on what’s possible. The future is already here. It’s just not evenly distributed yet.

Designed to be integrated in warehouses or straight in manufacturing facilities, our Fotomates live in all sorts of various places, ranging from hip and urban photo studios to gritty warehouses. Don’t worry, they were made for it!
Our Fotomates are available in five standard sizes. Custom builds are also available on request.
